About KovetzFinder.com
What a kovetz meforshim actually is, why this directory exists, and how it's put together.
What is a kovetz meforshim?
A קובץ מפרשים — "kovetz meforshim," literally a "collection of commentators" — is a slim pamphlet, usually self-published, that gathers the marei mekomos, meforshim, and chiddushim on one specific sugya, perek, or set of simanim. A related genre is the קונטרס ("kuntres"), a short monograph on a single halachic topic. Roshei chaburah, kollel yungeleit, and bnei yeshiva put these together while preparing a shiur or chaburah, and then print a small run — often just enough for their own beis medrash — through a self-publishing platform.
That's exactly what makes them valuable and what makes them hard to find. A kovetz on, say, the melacha of borer on Shabbos, or the halachos of shomrim in Choshen Mishpat, can save someone preparing a chaburah hours of tracking down sources — but it was never meant to be discovered by search engines. It's usually listed on Amazon with a generic title, no real product description, and no way to know it exists unless someone happens to mention it.
Why this site exists
These kovtzim aren't sold anywhere central — no publisher catalog, no seforim-store website lists them together, and Amazon's own search doesn't surface them well since they're competing against every other listing on the platform. Someone learning eruvin mechitzos or hilchos yichud has no easy way to find out that three or four different kovtzim on that exact topic already exist.
KovetzFinder.com exists to fix that: a single, browsable, searchable directory of these pamphlets, organized by topic and by author, so that a kovetz someone spent real effort compiling can actually reach the people it was written for.
How the catalog is built
Every item on this site is checked by hand before it's added — the Hebrew title, transliteration, author, and topic are verified against the actual Amazon listing, not scraped and posted automatically. Cover images are pulled directly from the listing. Where we can, we add a short write-up describing what the kovetz actually covers — which sugya, which simanim, which perek — so a visitor can tell whether it's relevant before clicking through to Amazon.
The catalog keeps growing as new kovtzim are published and as older ones surface. If you know of one that isn't listed here, or you spot an error, use the contact form on the homepage — every suggestion gets reviewed.

A note on affiliate links
KovetzFinder.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Every "View on Amazon" link goes to the actual listing, and if you make a purchase, the site earns a small commission at no extra cost to you. That's what keeps this directory free and ad-free. Titles, authors, and availability are provided for reference — always confirm details on the Amazon listing itself before ordering.
